PROJECT Hamlet on the Hudson

Town of Esopus Library

Located at 128 Canal Street Port Ewen, NY, the Town of Esopus Library serves a small town community; Port Ewen is a  hamlet in the northeast part of the Town of Esopus and is a suburb of Kingston. The Town of Esopus Library offers a variety of youth programs including "Babies & Books," "Toddler Tales," "Book Explorers," and "Tea with Teens." Project Mirrors and Windows is eager to expand the Town of Esopus Library's multicultural book collection for children, so the   children of Kingston and its surrounding communities will have greater accessibility to life- changing literature. Multicultural literature promotes self-to-text connections, reading proficiency, and a love of reading. A love of reading will make the Town of Esopus Library a frequent and favorite retreat for children of all ages!

Kingston City Library

Located at 55 Franklin Street Kingston, NY, the Kingston City Library serves a diverse community population. For children, the Kingston City Library offers a variety of programs including weekly story hours for toddlers and young children--music, dancing, and crafts too. Project Mirrors & Windows is eager to expand the Kingston City Library's multicultural book collection for children, so the children of Kingston and its surrounding communities will have greater accessibility to life- changing literature. Multicultural literature promotes self-to-text connections, reading proficiency, and a love of reading. A love of reading will make the Kingston City Library a frequent and favorite retreat for children of all ages!

Rosendale Library

Located at 264 Main Street Rosendale, NY, the Rosendale Library is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The Rosendale Library has served the community of Rosendale since 1940 and holds an impressive history. For children, the Rosendale Library offers a weekly preschool story hour, online books and resources for children and teens. Project Mirrors & Windows is eager to expand the Rosendale Library's multicultural book collection for children, so the children of Rosendale and its surrounding communities will have greater accessibility to life-changing literature. Multicultural literature promotes self-to-text connections, reading proficiency, and a love of reading. A love of reading will make the Rosendale Library a frequent and favorite retreat for children of all ages!
